Rubber should be saved for the tires. The factory front tension rods on BMW G8X M cars including G80/G81 M3 and G82/G83/G87 M4 and M2 use soft rubber bushings that flex under load, which lets alignment and toe change right when you are asking the car to work the hardest. SPL Parts replaces those links with fully adjustable, spherical bearing components that keep the suspension honest and repeatable on both street and track.

Motorsport grade construction

Gun drilled 2024 aluminum links, SPL’s 6061-T6 rotating clamps and Teflon lined FK spherical bearings keep weight down while delivering precise, low friction movement. Stainless or titanium hardware is used throughout for strength and corrosion resistance, and every kit is designed, machined and assembled in the USA.

Caster and braking stability

SPL tension rods replace the factory arms that set caster and manage braking loads at the front axle. With spherical bearings and precise adjustment, you can run more caster for self aligning torque and better high speed stability, without the vagueness that comes from rubber bushings.
