Stainless tubular headers for the flat plane LT6

The LT6 in the C8 Z06 is a serious engine straight out of the crate, but the factory exhaust manifolds are still a compromise on weight, packaging and flow. Unobtanium’s stainless C8 Z06 headers replace the heavy cast pieces with a purpose built tubular design, giving the 5.5 liter flat plane V8 a cleaner path out of the heads and a sound that better matches the way the car looks and revs.

Built from high quality 321 stainless and designed specifically for the Z06, these headers are engineered to offer balanced flow, reduced backpressure and lower mass compared to stock while retaining a factory like fit. Primary length, routing and collector layout are chosen for the LT6’s high rpm character, with a stepped, equal length 4 2 1 configuration that supports strong scavenging and a wide usable powerband.

Designed to work with the car, not against it

Each set uses proper flanges, welds and connection points to integrate with the rest of the exhaust system without odd angles or improvised hardware. The focus is on a header that installs cleanly, lives in a very hot environment and continues to perform over time.
