Unlike most shock manufacturers on the market, MCS understands that not all cars and drivers are the same or need the same things. Instead of sending out prebuilt kits that may not be exactly what you're looking for, these are completely customizable in every way. Spring rates, nitrogen pressures, even custom valving* are available for you if you want, and that's where we come in. We provide consultations to make sure that each kit is assembled with you in mind. Don't know exactly what you want? No problem! Our packaged damper sets make it easy with one simple answer in our dropdown "Assembly" menu. Pick between a street/track option and our "RWE Spec" track focused option. Don't worry, both are incredible and we have lap records with both standard setups. All assemblies include our spec Swift main & helper springs, Vorshlag front camber plates, MCS rear clevis mounts and SPL front endlinks when required for install. See the different kit definitions below.
We keep all common damper kits IN STOCK and ready to ship or assemble with a variety of different springs rates within 1 business day of order. Order one of our complete kits and we'll ship you a completely assembled and ready to bolt on damper kit, torqued to spec and paint marked ready to go.
Bare Dampers: Just the dampers and basic spring seat hardware. Free to source anything else you want.
Street/Track: Great for all around driving, prioritizing comfort on road but plenty capable on track. Proving the point, this lap was completed on our "Street/Track" set up:

YAW Sensor: Being race dampers, these do not have provisions for the factory YAW sensors. Historically, everyone just wire tied these to the damper bodies or coded them out to avoid the error messages in the iDrive. We have made shock body clamps that mount the sensor in the correct location for a complete and "finished" looking install. We include these, again free of charge, whenever you buy a set of F8X MCS's from us.
Note: We sell every MCS damper system as a coilover rear. The same dampers can be used as a divorced setup if desired (contact us and we'll send them as a divorced set up). We see no reason to divorce the rear. Out of the thousand or so sets of MCS's we have sold, about 10 have been divorced. Contrary to what you may have read on the forums, you do not need to tie a cage into the rear shock towers to safely run this set up. E9X, F8X and G8X chassis are all plenty strong from the factory to run C/O rear and we include reinforcement load plates in our packages for the E36/E46's to assist them. We have never had an issue with any C/O rear, including all of our race cars running very high spring rates, slick tires, massive cornering or acceleration loads, aero or any other factor that could contribute to an issue.
*Custom valving options are custom ordered and are subject to 3-6 week wait times depending on the time of year.
